New Recreation Locking System
Middlebrook Pines appreciates and will miss Tony and Renee Alivento
Tony and Renee Alivento are original owners here at Middlebrook Pines and were the first people to purchase a unit in November of 1983. They have recently purchased a new home and will be moving out in the coming days.
Tony has served our community as a member of the Middlebrook Pines Board of Directors for nearly the entire period since the Association was turned over by the builder in 1986. This is a huge period of time to commit to being a community volunteer! Many of you have seen him on his daily walks around the property. During his many years of service he has held various officer positions, including President, and for the past several years he has been the Vice President of the Association.
He and Renee, who also served on the Board of Directors and volunteered in many other ways, have been integral participants in ensuring that our community is well maintained, beautiful, and that our property values remain competitive with surrounding communities. He and Renee are responsible for identifying and implementing many community improvements over the past several decades that deserve acknowledgement, such as…
The addition of Guest parking spaces (previously there were zero)
Permitting screen enclosure add-ons by obtaining design specs and soliciting owner votes
needed to adopt the change by going door to door to the 344 units.
Recommendation to replace the aging Pear trees with Magnolia trees along the perimeter of
MBP.
Recommendation to install the tall bushes hedge as a sound and privacy barrier along Conroy
Road.
Recommendation to replace the address number with unit number on the parking stops for
Homeowner security.
Merging of two Associations with separate rules for Middlebrook Pines into one Homeowner
Association and consolidating the documents which required owner votes for approval, legal
approval, and filing of documents with the City of Orlando.
Suggesting and helping to navigate obtaining a business loan so that we could replace the failing
wooden shingles throughout the property instead of following the usual 7 year cycle. Compressing this project into a shorter period was a critical need and also saved money by completing the project in a one year period.
These are just a few of the great things that he (and Renee) have led the way on for our community. We all owe them a debt of gratitude for their decades of continuous volunteerism and service. If you see them on property during their last few days, please wish them well on their new adventure!
The remaining Middlebrook Pines Board Members sincerely appreciate Tony and Renee’s service. Their presence and leadership will be sorely missed!!
